NURSING AND MIDWIFERY 

TUTORS TRAINING PROGRAM

 

BACKGROUND:

  • 30,000 women die each year in Pakistan due to obstetric complications.
  • Majority of Basic Health Units (BHU) Rural Health Centers (RHC) and Taluka Hospitals (THQ) in Pakistan are not functional. Need army of competent midwives and paramedics.
  • Acute shortage of trained nursing and midwifery faculty.
  • No structured based tutors training program.

 

Nursing And Midwifery Tutors Training Program:

OBJECTIVE:

  • Produce good quality, well informed and modern teaching technique acquainted nursing and midwifery teachers.
  • To provide an intellectually challenging  and vocationally relevant programme that will equip tutors with the necessary skills to organize, implement and support the education needs of nursing and midwifery training.

 

Details Of Training:

  • Theory classes are conducted in the premises of  Abu Zafar  Institute of Medical Sciences, Koohi Goth, Deh Landhi, Bin Qasim Town.
  • For the purpose of Clinical Teaching Practice trainees are deputed with students of midwifery course in the following Hospitals including ATIA General Hospital
