Dr. Sher Shah Syed founder of Pakistan National Forum on Women Health ( a non-government organization working for reproductive health) was invited to the CGI’s 5th annual meeting and his work on this issue was recognized. His project “Training of Midwifery and Nursing Tutors” was one of new programs that was recognized for the year 2010.
Dr. Shershah is a graduate of Dow Medical College Karachi, Pakistan (Class 1978). He did his fellowship in Obstetrics and Gynecology from Ireland. At present he is Chief of Kohie Goth Hospital in Landhi, Karachi and staff physician at Qatar Hospital, Orangi Town Karachi. Dr. Shershah Syed has been a very vocal voice for the indigent in Pakistan and was also PMA Central Secretary General in past.
